Three persons are useless after a helicopter crash close to Resolute Bay, Nunavut.
It occurred close to Griffith Island, and concerned a Nice Slave Helicopters AS350-B2.
A information launch on Monday morning from Yellowknife-based Nice Slave Helicopters stated there have been two flight crew and one wildlife biologist on board. None survived, the corporate says.
The names of the deceased haven’t but been launched.
The plane particles has been discovered about 22 kilometres southwest of Resolute Bay, the discharge says.
The corporate says it was notified on Sunday of an overdue plane. After failing to make contact with the helicopter, a Twin Otter airplane was despatched to its final identified place, the place the particles was then noticed.
RCMP, together with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and Canadian Rangers, despatched a group to the crash web site, they usually arrived there early Monday morning. That is after they confirmed the passengers had died.
A spokesperson for the JRCC stated RCMP are main the investigation into the crash.
